All couples automatically settle into familiar patterns that limit each partner's emotional range and choice of response. As a result, over-familiarity creates a "rut" that diminishes the possibilities of growth and change in the relationship. Rehearsals! for Growth is a unique combination of therapy and improvisational theatre to get us out of those ruts and rediscover our vitality, passion and creativity and explore playfulness, spontaneity, and discovery. The Rehearsals! for Growth approach to Relationship Enhancement introduces client couples to action exercises in which they may playfully (and safely) explore:

• cooperation and interdependency
• varying use of status (power) transactions
• awareness of body language
• overcoming familiarity by co-creating shared adventures
